This two story, immaculate cedar home is in a spectacular riverfront location, remarkably private, quiet and surrounded by stunning vistas. It is ten minutes from Crested Butte and fifteen from Crested Butte Ski Resort. Hiking and cross country ski trails are within five minutes of the house. Ideal writing retreat.
Three bedrooms, two full baths, dining room, entertainment room, hot tub, cozy writing spaces throughout.
Weekly Rent for 300 per night (4 night minimum rental)
If more than 2 guests, then 50.00 per person additional fee per night, 5 guests maximum.
Eight miles of straight, level driving south of the town of Crested Butte, and just 25 feet from the dynamic flow of the East River, over which bald eagles routinely glide at eye level, the home sits at the edge of the East River, with spectacular unbroken views in all directions. You can fish for salmon in season from the front yard. Only two other homes within a quarter mile. None other at the river level.

The sitting room has a wood pellet stove for ambiance, stereo sound system, classic upright piano, and a doorway to a covered porch overlooking the river.
This room is marvelous for meditation. The windows overlook Whetstone Mountain, over when one can watch the Rocky Mountain moonsets. It also has a foldout queen futon for use as a third bedroom.
Kitchen has all utensils, excellent gas stove, large refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven and blender.
The 400 square foot entertainment room contains satellite television on a 46 inch flat screen, a stereo sound system, a treadmill, and a double chaise lounge that can fold flat making a queen bed. And, of course, windows overlooking the river.
The primary bedroom has a very comfortable bed with memory foam and ultra cushy comforters. It is upstairs with its own bathroom, and is entirely secluded from anything going on down below.
This shows the seclusion of the home...there are only two others within a quarter of a mile. The village of Crested Butte South is across the river, and contains a small deli, a burger/saloon hangout and a coffee place which are within walking distance across the bridge.
Crested Butte is snow country. In the winter, there is, on average, about three feet on the ground around the house from November through March. Access is easy year round and the wintry atmosphere is grand for deep introversion...even more silent than the rest of the year.
